it's all about knowing the right people. One of my closest friends father's owns one of the UK's biggest department stores. I keep pushing for him to open one within walking distance from my house & let me be manager but i've had no luck yet

Yeah it's ridiculous. If I were doing it for the money (it's just a perk for me), then I would go down to the states for a few years, like so many nurses here do, after I graduate. But we're in DIRE need for nurses here as well...and I want to give back to MY country first. Heh.
