if you want cheap mixer get the numark dxm06 its like 350$ canadian got efects and its nice i used to have that before i went over to my djm 600..
and now i want to upgrade to the djm 800...
so better get the good stuff once insted of spending the money in the future like i did,,,,its a waste...

I have a DJM-600 which was pretty much the best there was when I bought it, unfortunately it's a bit dated now. If I was to buy one today it would probably be the Xone 92.

I have a Pioneer DJM-500. Like sykadelik said: the djm5--/600 are a bit old now. BUT! It has everything I want and I don't even use all the channels - yet.

Buy something used and make sure you want to continue DJing. Spending $500 is overkill IMO.
I warn you, buying equipment is incredibly addictive and expensive!! I just got a Pio DJM3000 and its been fun as hell.
I use it to run my comp and a discman (lol) on 2 channels. Its really lame but no cash for cd players yet.
