Most of the medical studies apparently demonstrating a correlation between circumcision and apparent health benefits have been shown to be flawed in methodology. And none of them demonstrate causation.
In this day and age it is merely a cosmetic procedure. Which IMO is a disgusting practice. Male and female genitalia is homologous and the female equivalent of circumcision would be the removal of the clitoral hood at birth - it's similar in both size, function. Such a procedure would rightly be considered barbaric when performed on females... why this doesn't extend to males is mind-boggling.
