Sounding a little bit more like Sasha with every mix - And not in a "ripping off Sasha's sound" kind of way, you've definitely established yourself stylistically. But the smoothness and phrasing of your mixes reek of Sasha influence...
Spot on work here bro, absolutely loved this one - Got high as piss with my roommate, and listened to it while writing a paper on science and technology in the modern world...
I have to disagree with you here Rob. If you listened to Clovis's earlier sets they were REALLY Sasha inspired. I think he's actually doing something Sasha doesn't do in most (if not all) of his live sets. Clovis is really using Ableton to a much greater extent than Sasha does. Looping, re-editing tracks on the fly, and keeping elements mixing together longer. The only thing I would say that him and Sasha have in common is that ping pong delay, Clovis loves that too

I think you misunderstand my meaning dear Bassel
I agree completely that what Clovis is doing is stylistically his own, and that Clovis has an unreal handle on Ableton that I only wish I had (@ Clovis: honestly - I wish I could understand Ableton in order to pull off some of the things you're able to).
What I meant by "clear Sasha influence," is something that I think penetrates deeper than playing similar tunes - Especially when we're comparing him to current Sasha. What this set evokes in me is kind of the classic Sasha, on turntables, who could pull off this incredibly layered and atmospheric mixes that really "owned" the set - made the tunes he played truly "his," and left an imprint on you so strong when the set is over that you know you listened to a Sasha set. I hope that somehow made sense...

And this goes back to our discussion on tunes being good on their own or in context. To me Sasha really has a knack for making good tunes sound fucking amazing.

Indeed, because a few of these are piss boring without context
