Yes - nothing like dancing in a sea of people while wearing a winter coat. I won't forget mine next time either...

If you're talking about Chad with the long brown hair and the aviators....he's Chadly84 on TA, but he never uses it. He's a good friend of mine though, if you want to PM me I'll give him the msg.

Different guy. Nick's talking about Chad from London - came with a big crew, had the VIP area...

Alrighty...review time!

I got there pretty early with 2 of my favorite people (Cale & Laura). Met up with Remo and within 5 minutes he said "okay...fine...1 shot". So much for staying sober! Haha The place was decorated beautifully. I loved having the music going through the whole club. And I much prefer the DJ booth being by the stairs compared to where it was last time Sander was here.

The rest of my friends quickly arrived and we got the party started right. The opening set was good...really got your feet moving. I danced upstairs most of the time...there was a lot more room - and those of you who know me, I need my room to dance!!

To be completely honest, I wasn't as impressed with Sander's set as I was with his set at Thanksgiving. It was a bit too techy for me. Nonetheless, the set was fun...and what made the night the most enjoyable was spending it with my friends.

Iain and Abdul killed it at the end. Great job boys! I loved the back to back...and the track selection was amazing. I ended up leaving around 4:30am. I needed to get some rest, as I was driving to Toronto for Lawler in the afternoon.

It was great meeting some of the new TAs. Glad you guys had a blast in Windsor And I hope to see you all back soon!

Last but not least...Remo...what can I say? You've done an amazing job with the Boom Boom Room - as if I haven't told you that already. But you're really putting Windsor on the map. Your flyers were right "the biggiest NYE party in Windsor yet!" Congrats on the big success. I'll see you soon

This is what SvD had to say...from his January 2007 Mailing!

It was then into Xmas week, I had got no presents so this stop solved it all. I played at The Gallery on Dec 22nd for their Xmas members party and as always it was a great night. The next day I was booked to be a surprise guest for the Vaccine room at Turnmills for the www.harderfaster.net Xmas party. It was unusual playing at 6pm on a Saturday in London at Xmas....but a good gig. Once I finished I was picked up by my new Publicity agent Jonathan who happens to be welsh, and headed to Cardiff to play Time Flies in Cardiff with Judge Jules. I cannot remember such a response from such an intimate club. Despite the fact it was now Christmas Eve in Wales, it was packed. I kept hearing my name over the music, and I am sure Jonathan is still having nightmares! Cardiff is definitely somewhere I am looking forward to playing in 2007, I am liking the Welsh.
December 26th is a big clubbing night in the UK so I had been booked to play the Planet Love Winter Party in Belfast with Marco V and Mauro Picotto. As well as that I had Gatecrasher in Sheffield. Forgive me if I sound pretentious here, but the only way to cross the Irish seas was by private jet. It was my first private jet and I did it with Marco V, who as you will all know has been my inspiration for so long...Antoine from Second Sun, my manager and his brother. We had such a laugh, and it was such a great experience! Both gigs rocked but I hardly had 5 minutes to spare when I finished in Crasher as I had a flight from Birmingham at 9am to go and play in Trinidad.
I played at the Zen club, it was open air with beautiful weather and such friendly people, thanks to Johnny for his hospitality!!

By now the travelling, the late nights, the numerous beers, vodka and champagne were starting to take its toll on my body but I had one last gig to do.
The Boom Boom Rooms in Windsor, Canada. The gig was sold out back in November so I knew I was in for a good night. I ended up playing a 3.5 hour set and did not want to get off the decks, the crowd rocked right until the lights came on and were refusing to leave. Thanks to Remo and Co in Windsor.

So that was December with me. Right now I have just made it to Costa Rica where my phone is off, I can’t get an internet connection... and my girlfriend is very happy! When you next see me I’ll be sporting a fantastic and well earned tan. Let’s hope 2007 is good for us all.

Take care

A recovering Sander.

That is awesome: Sander is the best, hands down He was loving the club and the crowd, one could tell very easily that he was completely enjoying himself!

Yep, this is the Chad I was referring to. Does anybody have his contact information? (Whether on TA, his email, msn, etc). I would love to thank him for the sick time he showed me at BBR!

I should also mention something else: I took a few pics with Sander but apparently only the last one came out well. The pic was taken by a guy I met that night: he was a shorter gentleman with a somewhat thick chin-strap beard; he had been taking a lot of pics and was chatting a lot (and seemed to be exchanging contact information) with Sander after the latter's set near the stage area. I gave this guy my e-mail address and he agreed to send me the pic and said I would receive it by Tues afternoon but I have not yet gotten it. I suspect, unfortunately, that he lost my e-mail address. Considering he took the only pic of myself with Sander I'm really interested in getting the pic off of him....if anyone knows the person I am talking about I would really appreciate it if you could put me in contact with him. I realize that I've provided little information about him but what I've said is essentially all the information I have....I really want that pic!!! (I didn't stay long enough back in the fall to get a pic with him when he spun @ KH and this pic from BBR is the only one of myself with him).

Thanks

I love to keep reading these reviews, it keeps that night alive in my mind!

I have recently found out that I may be moving to Windsor, and I am excited to move to a city with a club like that. I can't remember the last time anyone came to London - It's a real R&B kinda city here.

(on a side note, anyone know of a cheap bachelor apt?)

Thanks again to Remo and his crew for possibly the best NYE I can remember!
