I'm not arguing with you for the sake of proving you wrong, because you're not. I'm simply debating with you, which is fun because you know how to.
They may not always be fair and do what is exactly right ( yes Id like to kick some cops in the nuts and show them who's boss, lol) , but until you are in their position, I think you should just relax a bit. I'm glad that you're a "take charge" and " strong Dependant" women, but you need to understand that you're attitude towards them will eventually get you into trouble. And getting in to trouble shouldn't be worth it just to make your point stand out. Meh the law is messed in some places , ya ya Canada land isn't perfect, and we have our share of stupid laws that I don't agree with either, but I deal.
Yes Caela move here, the end.

Ok, in my whole newfound freedom/singleness...I went out last night with a group of friends.
Needless to say, I'm 20 and it was a Friday night...of course I was hammered.
In a nutshell, we left the party and my friend was driving us home. She proooooobably shouldn't have been driving if you want to get technical, but she was near sober. I am extremely anti-drunk driving, and I felt that she was equipped enough to get us safely home.
So, 4 friends and I drive home. We get pulled over by a cop, she gets a DUI and is taken off...I still haven't talked to her. The rest of us get handcuffed and put in cop cars. I'm riding in the cop car with my friend Val, and she's sitting there complaining about guys to the cop and won't shut the fuck up. He brings us to DETOX, but realizes she's too rowdy when she starts arguing with him. Therefore, I'm by myself at DETOX, and she goes to the drunk tank. Haven't talked to her yet, or my other 2 friends that were in the car.
So the deal with DETOX is that you have to blow a .05 to leave. THIS PLACE IS TWO MOTHERFUCKING BLOCKS AWAY FROM MY APARTMENT!!!! I don't own a car so there's no threat of me driving drunk if they let me go...but noooooo, I had to stay there all night, chugging water to sober up.
Ugh, this country is so flawed. I understand DUI's, but to imprison me for the night when I live so close is retarded. Now they are going to inform my school of my citation, and my uni has a "three strikes you're out" policy.
Fuck the pooooooolice.
Well, the night wasn't a total loss. I made out with my friend that I've been crushing on hardcore for almost two years. Yayyyyy.
So, how was everyone else's night? |
gdamn girl!
Last thing you want is allowing men to get you in trouble (basically)
Bastards drive us to drink!

Ok. First of all you completely deserved whatever you got. You broke a law that you were completely aware of. Second, if you don't feel that the law is right then quit bitching about it on internet forum and fucking do something about it. Third, i can pretty much guarantee that you weren't bitching about said law until you got into trouble for breaking it. In other words you aren't upset with the law, you are upset that you got caught, which is really just tough shit for you. And the reason you were put into the Detox center was because it is standard protocol in that situation and maybe it will keep you from doing the same stupid shit again. Also, i too am 20 years old living in the U.S. so you can't use the argument that it's different for me. I've had my run-ins with the law, but i now understand that it was ME who was wrong for breaking a law that i knew was there whether i liked it or not.
c0r short version-If you don't like it, quit bitching and do something about it.
