The first assumption of an apologist is that his opponent doesn't know what he is talking about.

After all, that must necessarily be the case if the Bible is divinely inspired -- anyone who thinks otherwise is as wrong as wrong can be, and is assumed to be so from the get-go.

I dont think YEC is necessarily Fundamentalism. Key word being necessarily.

Not that I am a YEC, because that argument is ultimately pointless. Has nothing to do with basic values of Christianity.

All these other issues are rather ancillary to the idea of what Christianity is about.

An apologist is more likely someone who has just as valid a claim for something as you do against
