i respect all genres i mightnt like them but i respect the work put into them and time to make the tracks sound perfect.

i said that thing about america in a tongue and cheek way but since it has came down to this i think americans havent let music evolve and have been stuck in the same routine for quite a while. this is my opinion and how the american music scene is perceived here.

I think you're defense of the average american is understandle but baseless.

personally.

I wouldn't defend the 'average person's' taste in any country. Look at the record sales, statistics reveal the average american's taste.

Miami seems like a nice place for trance and other forms of EDM. Nice that they have beaches and warm weather. Detroit is fine for techno, like with the Movement festival, but other than that..it's a bad place for trance. Sure there's somewhat of a scene, and Bleu does have some trance nights and trance DJs, but it's not my most favorite club in the world.

Necto in Ann Arbor used to have trance DJs, but it got too expensive. There's still hostility towards trance music in this area, since it's the birthplace of Techno (somewhat) and people tend to be purists. You wont find a single trance DJ at the Movement festival..it's all techno, house and hip hop basically.

I'm not defending the average person. I just want people to think about where the music they love came from before they bash that same place.

if your refering to me. i dont like house or techno and there never has been a trance scene in america maybe some events but nothing major. so i think i have a right to bash it as you have a right to bash trance or the european scene.

Southern California gets a lot of talent because they can do multiple venues within a close distance along with having a ton of people but San Francisco has a better vibe over LA/Las Vegas IMO

I've heard that it's all kicking off in Guantanamo Bay, torture, human rights abuse etc etc...they're all there.
