His mixing's always been too quick & harsh, but he usually picked out enough tracks I liked to overshadow that...but then again, I haven't seen him in a year, & my tastes have changed dramatically since then, so who knows what I'd think now.

Get down you fucking gimp.
I was there for that as well. I might have to retract my earlier post, because I'd forgotten how shit he was at LFA. Thankfully, I didn't endure it all though, because I was smart enough to fuck off next door while this wanker was on.

It pains me to say it but.... JOOF. Saw him at Gatecrahser NE-ICE in Nottingham in about 2004 I think. He severely trainwrecked about 5 times.
On a level with this is David Guetta at Creamfields 2004 - spent most of the set sucking his own cock then stopped the tunes and played Nirvana - smells like teen spirit <------ great song, just not played at the right time or event.

I have seen 90 Minutes of Brooklyn Bounce
The guy was dressed like a lumber jack, wearing old torn clothes, rediculously trainwrecked every mix and played zombie nation 3 times

this worries me, since you're not the first person to say that & i thought he was fine. i must have been far more twatted than i initially thought
though saying that, between pvd & eddie halliwell was all one massive blur since the times were all ballsed up, and i think matt hardwick was playing b2b with j00f at one point?

LMAO!! I dance straight - no chemicals or alcohol, so I tend to remember most bits about most nights. JOOF played some great stuff but just wrecked about 5 mixes - in a row, that was what was worst about it.
I can remember a B2B bit - only for a short time though. I think it was Hardwick and JOOF - so maybe you weren't as twatted as you thought

John Kelly at a Slinky classics night sometime in summer 2005.
Mixing was absolutely appalling, he kept dropping really stupid accapellas and sample over the top of every track he played, out of time and out of key. His beatmatching was all over the shop, at one point he just randomly pitched up the live track by about 4-5%
And his tune selection was woeful, I mean, classics nights are pretty hard to fuck up tracks wise, but he managed to do it.
I will never, ever, ever see that twat DJ ever again. Id even be dubious about going to an event he was playing at unless the rest of the lineup was amaaazing.
