Oh god! I hate that...when you're eating something and it tastes good, and then you find out what it actually is...it's like suddenly the good taste went away. It's all psychological though!

Honestly, this is the most awful stuff I've ever tasted in my life... it's a raw, rotten, fermented soybean. Essentially, all the protein comes out of the beans and gives them a shit + snot texture. The taste is really strong too. If you ever go to Japan and get offered this stuff, JUST SAY NO!!!

That was gross... my parents still have the egg shell from that experience a few years ago (hole in the bottom and top, we had to blow that stuff out). My parents raised Emu at their farm for a short while, and got the egg from the farm they got their Emu from. That egg fed omelettes to 6 people. It doesn't taste as good as chicken eggs as it's milder in taste, so it's more texture than taste. I didn't like it.

chicken feet, beef tripe and peking duck (roasted duck skin). the chicken feet took some getting used to, but now i have no problems eating it. i like all three of those dishes.

I quite like the meat though it's like a sweeter version of steak.
