last semester we studied in our english class the american criminal system and it was interesting to compare with the one we have here
i would say the things i dont like in the american system is that it's more like lawyers have to win the case even if it implies big lies , because it looks like it's more about who will be the most persuasive ....and not necessary about fairness and that's what bothers me quite a bit
2 weeks ago i attended a conference at cornell with my boyfriend where the lawyer who won enron's case was presenting the trial and how he managed to
i was impressed by the guy , young and definately brilliant but i realized that to be an american lawyer was first based of your choices of right words and the way to convince people .....
i guess sometimes it should be more like fight some injustices and non senses cases but oh well i tell u this cuz my conception of justice is influenced by the way they teach us here at school
