Break My Fall!, This track's high hats remind me of Tiesto remix of L'Espanza by Airscape. Great track, I believe this track saved the album.

Shit album, not surprised.

A lot of the tunes COULD be decent with some remixes, but none of the originals stand out and wouldn't get a regular listen from me.

I also see no influence from the "Tiesto" sound (maybe excluding Carpe Noctum and Elements of Life (which is a knock off of his Adaigo tune)), never would have guessed this is his album.

The Track Carpe Noctum is like traffic but it hink he could of prefected the shit ouf it. but generalllyy its an amazing album...oh and Ten Seconds Before Sunrise is like Forever today TIMES 12

It's not a bad album, just filled with normalcy. Nothing stands out like for instance Walking On Clouds from Just Be. The whole album is just a bunch of regular dance tracks to fill the night.

5/10 album really is bad. I expected far more, but then again reconsidering what he did in the past 2-3 years, its not surprising its not good for me.

Really sad :°(

1. crap, bland and cheesy
2. crap, cheesy vocal pap
3. mostly crap, the ending was kinda good, maybe there's gonna be some good remixes of this one
4. traffic 2? not feelin' it
5. what was that?
6. stfu woman! seriously wtf is this?
7. not bad on first listen at least, not amazing either
8. crap once again. cheesy as fuck and the tune sounds very noisy too somehow.
9. CRAP yet again. enough with the fucking vocals ffs!
10. dance 4 life, yeah it's fucking crap. maxi jazz sucks and the music sucks.
11. adagio for strings 2? fuck this.
12. yay for disney! what's next? the mickey mouse theme (tiësto remix)? overblown gimmicky crap this one, altho the melody kinda has potential i must say.

all of the tracks seem really edited down too, they just end all of a sudden.
so in conclusion: crap poppy tracks, which are edited like fuck. so yeah, fuck you tiësto, i will definitely not be buying this. there's no effort in this album at all. it's just crap. and i actually liked just be.

2/10

meh, much hatred for multiple threads in different subforums.

here's what i posted in the other one:

1. ten seconds before sunrise
lovely.. not much else i can add, beautiful uplifting trance. simple but effective

2. everything
absolutey shameless ripoff of the melody from the lucid remix of bt - dreaming (used on isos2), and quite a poppy commercial feel overall, but it's pleasant enough background music. some nice pads in there

3. do you feel me
this sounds like something else again.. maybe oxia - domino? wasn't too impressed by it, seemed to come & go without much happening. forgettable

4. carpe noctem
this was a bit shit lol.. really basic & the traffic influences were pretty obvious. would work in a club i guess, but not really album material

5. driving to heaven
much nicer.. quite floaty & euphoric. shame about the length.. hopefully there'll be extended mixes of these tracks put out, as with just be. 12" mix of this would be awesome

6. sweet things
i'd put this alongside 'everything'.. commercial & fairly straightforward, but easy enough on the ears

7. bright morningstar
the first half of this was really promising, awesome atmosphere & a kind of edgy feel to it. the second half was a bit of a letdown though.. sounded alright but lost its edge & descended into familiar territory

8. break my fall
didn't like the vocals on this, think a dub would suit it better. the backing track was decent

9. in the dark
am with the general concensus on this... probably the worst track on the album. alot of the tunes have a commercial feel but this one is the only one that really reeks of cheese. had to skip through it

10. dance4life
i still maintain that this would have been decent if it weren't for the awful lead synth stabs & maxi's voice being so intrusive. i swear the vocals are used loads more in this version too

11. elements of life
ok in all fairness, this was fucking horrible. infact actually its worse than 'in the dark', since that was shamelessly cheesy & not attempting to hide it, whereas this is trying to be all anthemic & euphoric and comes out sounding turgid & cringeworthy. i'd put this on a par with armin's 'serenity'

12. he's a pirate
now i love this, and am not ashamed to admit it i preferred the version without the orchestral stuff in the breakdown though. it has a much quirkier, more eccentric feel to it than say, 'elements of life', which gives it loads more appeal

in conclusion.. disappointed. i really liked 'ten seconds to sunrise' & 'driving to heaven', and was partial to 'sweet things', 'everything' & 'bright morningstar', but can't see me keeping any of the others (except 'he's a pirate', which i already have the superior 12" mix of). 'just be' may not have been groundbreaking but it showed a fair amount of progression when compared to 'in my memory'. compare this album to 'just be' & there's considerably less change.. he's playing it too safe & not pushing any boundaries

Carpe Noctum somehow reminds me of Sander van Doorn's Grasshopper VS Traffic. Not to keen on what i heard so far.

I hope Phynn's album blows Tiesto away.

Good job you can't remember Wild Bunch - Groove Lounge then...

The beat is exact.

Just with some vocals and synth layer added.
