yup! thats pretty much the only thing worth pointing out here, the prydz EM was okay but in the end forgettable, same for Askew, if you want a better trance mix from him check his Live As 2CD recording with Matt Hardwick

its about EDM, not trance.

and like UWM said, trance is (sadly) dead. its outworn ..

Yeah but did you forget that Paul Oakenfold, Paul Van Dyk, DJ Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren and Ferry Corsten are spoken about or even more the DJ's you just mentioned

I don't think trance is dead, its because you guys see on this webiste so much and its easy to get into. House and Techno have been around much longer. I think its hate thing and people wanna be different and will says trance blows and yada yada.

Here it's more Electro-House and Minimal. Take Loco Dice, Ame or my sweety Luciano if something is dead then it's Techno. Only a handful of DJs still play that, even Chris Liebing and Sven Väth play more Minimalistik now.

But it's not that standard-discussion over genres I wanted to kick off here...it's about commerce everybody expects Eric to spin, so Prydz wants no education, I disagree, secondly he doesn't even play many commercial tunes. His Mix for John Digweed's show was really minimalistic.

I see so many people being disappointed by his gigs, flooding the market with commercial tracks and finally spinning just Minimal. That's similar to what Mauro Picotto did in 2002, people expected commercial Trance-tunes and he kicked their asses with finest Techno

I've listened to his tune mate, thatsn the problem, there isnt anything going on, minimal perc, off beat bass (95% of the time) and the trade mark punchy kick.

All at like 140 plus bpm, I find his tunes very awkward to use because I find it impossible to place them in a mix, they lack a lot of energy for their speed, and imo they are just terrible tunes.

As I said I can't comment on his DJing so I'll give you the benifit of the doubt on that one.

Eventhough this is "TRANCE"addict, a majority of people on here don't even listen to trance. Some even hate it. They should just the name to EDMaddict.
