some good points have been risen here but everyone is entitled to their own opinion as is regurgitated everywhere. people are the products of their generation and upbringing which is why nearly every parent is so close minded about the things we do as their children.

someone once told me that religion was created to keep everyone in line. that christianity places the leader of a country and any other influencial figure (ie bishops and priests) as having direct contact with god, which made them powerful. it also helped detail how everyone should live. i think i may have strayed a bit from the point here but it sounds interesting

give everyone a go at listening to trance and if they dont like it who cares, its their loss isnt it?

Agrees with everything mentioned above and with what Davinox had said 100% But just because religion could be thought of as a sort of "safety net" for society, that is comforting to people doesn't make it a bad thing. Good point miss e, hypocrisy should be mocked not religion (although I'm not a huge fan on religion I do see your point). Laz! Re calm down man! lol If people want to shoot down your belief system let them. I could care less if somebody thinks I'm an IDIOT for believing in God, they can believe whatever they wish. If they are an atheist so be it, I have a friend who is one and had a debate about God with him, he is very similar to my belief system in that we truly believe what we are talking about. End of discussion. NO need for animosity of any sort in this topic. Why can't we be calm and rational? (and for those atheists don't assume religion is irrational simply because of a belief in a higher being) :P. Lashing out to what somebody is saying (even if it is against your beliefs) is useless because people will believe what they will and you can't change somebody in that way. My opinion...thanks!
