there's a shit-ton of spectacular hiking spots not too far north of Manhattan, all in the Hudson Valley region. i can direct you to some of my favorites, or i'm sure you can find some good books about hiking in that area too. it's definitely one of the things i miss most about living out there... and mid-October (usually the weeks right before my birthday, Oct 28) is the best time for checking out the fall foliage.
all the more reason to drive up there and bike it out a bit in the country side lol...
let alone hike up some areas to check out! mm i can't wait

Hawaii would be good for this, I don't think there is a single month where the average high temp is lower than 80

I dunno man... I was in London last 4th of July and it was frikken hot as hell. It was mid 90's all week. They had concerns about running the tube and everything.
Yeah that sucked. At least when i am home, i live near the beach and have a pool. I don't want to travel somewhere hot without some way too cool off!

AGREED!!!!
After dealing with a winter where we had -40 wind chill I would rather be hot than freeze my ass off.
Fall is my favorite season. It's my birthday. You still get some warm days, but it's getting colder so you know to bring a hoodie. Plus in New England you get the most awesome colors when the leaves change.
oh yea, and free candy at Halloween. good deal!

You know what they call summer here in Estonia? Shitty skiing weather. So stop whining, dammit.
