wow, U need to learn your history, the Lebanese Christians were persecuted nad thrown out years ago, the world dont give a hit of course because it was only Christians, But most of Lebanon is Muslim, yes there are christians left, and yes they wil elections, but anytimwe they try to asser their pwoer, they get shot and the story runs on Page 800 of the Times and as a biline on the ticker of Fox News, Christians getting persecuted is not as good as story as Arabs, so no one cares |
Oh really? Is that why many of the most powerful militias in Lebanon during the Civil War were Christian? Examples include, but not limited to, Ahrar, Chamoun Tigers, Phalange/Kataeb, Guardians of the Cedars, SSNP, etc.
Typical victimization mentality on the part of the Lebanese Maronites. Did you forget the crimes committed by the Phalange, who were Maronites? Sabra and Shatila, Tel al-Zaataar, Karantina, etc. ring a bell? Hell they even killed other Christians who refused to side with them, such as Tony Franjieh and even shelled an Armenian quarter in Bourj al-Hammound in Beirut after the Armenians refused to side with the LF/Kataeb/Phalange.
It's funny how you don't know your history except to play up the typical victimization card.
BTW, it's not just Christians that have left, but also scores of Sunnis, Shi'as, and Druze, wanna know why? It's due to economic propserity, nothing to do with persecution.
And yes Muslims are the majority, but not by much, and even then it's still split. You don't realize that Lebanon has 18 religious sects in the country.
