$419 at adencamera.com, their store is at yonge and dundas, across from what was sam the record man, if you're looking at the sd800is check out the a570is for $259, little but bulkier but wont break the bank either

the sd800is is soooo nice.
but if you're a pixel pirate, the older model (sd700) is better.

people here talk to much like experts not really giving a concise answer to the newbies...

to newbies it seems as if a flash ruins a picture, because a flash only captures about 10-15ft in front of you leaving the rest dark, or cutting out important features of what you're photographing in a club. The way around this is to keep the flash on for a clear image, but play around with a lower exposure setting. This gets great results when photographing people in a club, keeping a very nice balance of colours if done properly.

However, if you want to get a clear picture of a club as a whole at night, one of your only options is to wait for a key time when the lights are going crazy and fairly bright and use a quick shutter. (without flash) that way you'll see a lot of detail and it'll be clear.

here are two examples from cancun that show what i mean using the canon SD550 (remember this is a point and shoot, and with an SLR, these pics would have less noise and sharper colour, but i think it handled the situation fairly well)

edit: remember as well that 5mins in paintshop pro or photoshop can greatly improve a photo, all i did was remove some noise, and put a vivid filter on, and look how improved the next image is... (for some reason the resolution got screwed when i uploaded it, so just ignore that)

I'd like to get an opinion.

Canon S5 IS vs. Nikon D40

or if you can recommend any other models of those brands within that price range.

Thanks

Anyone know a camera that can record good video sound without the bass messing everything up? I just bought the Nikon coolpix L11 but I haven't used it in a club yet so im not too sure.. anything under $200?

somebody pls explain iso and aperture to me, especially in situations for night shots and club shots. What sort of settings should I be looking at?

I bought a canon EOS 400D recently so I'm still learning.

print help

I need help with printing couple of shots.

how can I possibly print clear shots in a 3'x2' format when my camera only has 6.1 MP. I know it can be done easily on film, but how do I do this from a DSLR?
