| quote: | | Lets be realistic here, when someone point a gun to your face you dont have time to think, which wallet should I give this mugger? I usually am armed and I can see how even then any martial arts training would mean jack and shit. If you see it coming of course you have time to think, but most if not all of the time, you don't see it coming. I am one of those people that doesn't freeze up on extreme situations but when you are being violated in this nature, you literally feel like you are not gonna make it home that day. Its the aftermath that makes it even worse when you just can't stop thinking of what you could have done to avoid or respond to the situation. |
You may have took the tae bo part too literally, that was there more for sarcasm and amusement. On a serious note I don't actually advise anyone to react physically in a gun confrontation. As for the second wallet scenario, its something you more so plan for, meaning don't set yourself up for something where you'd have to think about it. Also it doesn't exactly mean you have to carry two wallets. You can use the wallet as a decoy and place what matters to you elsewhere. When 'travelling in general' all that really matters is cash, which you can just keep in your shoe or sock.
