i've been pretty lucky and about 98% of the djs i've asked to take pics with, sign stuff, talk to have been nothing but gracious and kind and thankful for the compliments.

and yeah, i was there when andy moor was a dick to matt. we were like whatever. but then i saw him (moor) outside of Space during conference and he comes over to me and starts talking to me and showing me these texts from sander on his phone and i'm just looking at him like, what is this crackhead talking about???? lol!!!


the first time i ever got the chance to meet lawler i was nervous as hell b/c i had heard he can be moody, or whatever but he was nothing but kind and sweet and every time after that he has been the exact same way.

like what the guys are saying in this thread, know when to ask for stuff, stay out of their way, don't bother them when they're mixing, etc.

i mean, i always wait until after i've slept with them before i ask them to sign anything lol, totally kidding about that!! but unfortunately that assumption gets made about girls who like djs way too often, but that's another thread.................

and piet from Rank 1, what a fucking dick, i mean really! he will actually stand outside and talk to his fans and entertain us and ask us sincerely what we thought of his set and which tracks we like and even play our favorite songs, etc. i mean come on

I think Andy is just like that tho.. Halloween last year when his CD skipped he came over and cracked it over my head.

Then when he was out last month, after his set I asked him for a photo and an autograph on the flyer and he doodled all over it and said "There, now its custom". He did sign it tho..

The napkin thing? Was probably because there were no flyers or they didnt bring a CD or Vinyl for him to sign Clovis..

It was kinda funny when PVD came out. He was kinda sweating so I got him something to wipe his head with, Then people were rushing for Autographs... He had a stack of things to sign, and I threw in a CD cover from POD2 in there.. I handed him a napkin to wipe his head.., and asked him if he could make out one of the Autographs 4 Lynn.

He ended up Autographing the napkin, with 4 Lynn on it, under it says Paul Van Dyk.... haha he did sign my cd cover tho too.

WHen Ferry played here last I must have laid 50 lovefest flyer in front of him for him to sign at the beginning of his set. But the time he was done, there were less than 10 left. He signed that many during his set and handed htem out. How awesome.!

I'm not really into autographs in general. I mean, it's cool on a record or CD, but otherwise pretty pointless. Theres other ways of remembering a night, or how fun a particular DJ was...

THe only time I ever took pictures of Ferry DJing, he was getting bombarded by people with everything and anything to sign. Napkins, flyers, ticket stubs, crumpled plastic cups, bills. It was just out of hand.

Yeah, to go along with my post under yours, he signed EVERYTHING they gave him, mid-set too. I thought that was very nice of him, hes a genuine guy, but I think its ridiculous that people thought it was a good idea. IMO the DJ should be left to concentrate on the music, not have to play super-star autograph machine...
