So a little bit of the TOP of the moon looks black but I don't see shit else happening and my neck hurts from looking up. I work in 3 hours. I need sleep, Stupid moon.

Well, well well. Seems like I'm in perfect timing for this. Yay for living in Pacific Time. I think I already see part of a shadow covering up a small portion of the moon. Will be going outside shortly to observe the rest of the show. I'm already faded off a 40 of Mickeys and will probably down a couple more coronas as the eclipse continues.

ya can see it, but the sky is getting too light to make it dramatic enough, but still kinda cool to see

Hooray for living on the west coast and managing to catch it at night. Incredible sight.

I worked on some music while watching the eclipse from my living room window up until about 2:30 (it hit full eclipse just before 3) when I went outside. I sat there, wrapped in a blanket, watching the eclipse and looking up at the stars.

I've thought about it before, sure, just how far away the stars and everything are, but it never really hit me then. The entire time I was outside I wondered just how many light years away each star was and just how far into the universe I was looking when I looked past them. I looked at the natural life around me; trees, plants, grass, clouds and came to the realization that we are nothing. As conceited as humans are, as much as we're taught certain events in history class that are supposed to be these grandiose things, as much of a big deal as we make politics and war, when it all boils down to it, none of it matters. On the grand scheme of things, everything that has happened on Earth and will happen on Earth will never matter.

I felt really humbled.

Well, moon's been completely covered in my area for the past 15 minutes. I'm a bit too faded now and I think my eyes have been burning a little bit staring at the eclipse. Sleep seems like a good option right about now.
