i've only had US kabob, and i like it from specific places, i've had some good kabob and some really bad kabob, thats why im really picky about the places i go to

Pieces of meat and veg stuck on a stick and cooked = shish kabob/kebab

Pitta/Naan filled with salad and slices of beef/chicken from a large, vertical rotisserie type machine = doner kebab
