But I must say I can see why Above & Beyond have been called "the saviours of trance".
Is this a piss take?.. I know every one has their opinion and each to their own and that. But jesus, A&B... I think they would be the first producers/djs I would claim to have destroyed the trance scene. Their productions maintain that very similar boring formula, Admittedly they have done a few half decent tracks, but on the whole I think there a joke. And how they put on the dj list at big events is beyond me.. There the sort of djs that would make me not go to event because they are that tedious!
Corsten as about as electro as 2 Unlimited are techno.

I really think that people like PvD just need to take some time off for like a year and sit back and gain a new perspective. Actually I wish most "super-star" DJs would take a year off, I think Oakenfold would benefit the most from this. I can't imagine how they view the scene, their own music, and the music of their fellow DJs after playing almost every weekend for over 15 years. For 15+ years these guys are making a ton of money and getting their way non-stop. They just need to become grounded again and the music they produce and spin will improve.

you are confusing. you call A&Bs sound "old". but its not and still you say you were there at the birth of trance. A&B doesn't sound anything like the old trance.
Go back and this time maybe you could read and then understand my post!
You should check out Rebel 9's mix that he posted here - it's pretty brilliant and fuckin good.

I'll give it a listen! I would be more interested in Shulz after though.
I haven't heard them in a while, but its probably my taste more than anything. I also hate the way they prance around the decks..
