Political aims against religious competitor's. Different Muslim sect's and divisions specifically trying to claim a peice of the pie. It's executing people who don't think the same way as you do, which is just as bad and it's no coincedence these people are of slightly different belief's.

That's a very lazy and tabloid way of looking at it (ie pretty far detattached from reality). The aim of Islamists is to implement a political ideology in a certain region that they think/hope will improve the lives of the people that live there. That is identical to the aims of every other political ideology that has ever existed. Their aim is not to kill non-Muslims or even to convert non-Muslims (Christians and Jews are regarded highly as "people of the book" in Islamist ideology). When ideological groups are prevented from implementing their ideology via democratic means, or where that particular group are oppressed, more often than not they resort to terrorism as a means of achieving their politcal goals. That is the same for all terrorist groups the world over throughout history and Islamists are no different...

Ha! I was out in Worksop the other weekend and can safely say it's shit! I was brought up near there (altho it's a Sheffield address just over into Yorkshire) but now I live in Leeds but no fucking way is THAT going in my location!

Improving the lives of citizen's in your area? Wow, Iraqi moral's must be pretty dimented if this means blowing yourself up next to said citizen's. Wouldn't that of been brilliant? If Hitler invaded Britain and instead of attacking him, we blew up our own population to try and acheive our political goal's.

I never said terrorism works did I? In fact, it doesn't work...

But my point is, two bird's with one stone.

Terroist's are seeking political gain and killing all who do not comply with their religion. This is because Islamist culture is fundamentally flawed. (IMO)

Christian's are part of a moral society who offer forgiveness for sin's instead of executions, this is the point and this is what you appear to dis-agree with. Now before anyone comes to the thread with the "But British muslim's are teh peaceful!11" we need to take into account that British muslim's are an extremely small minority of the entire Islamic faith but are also a good example of how introducing law and order to Muslim's create's a more peaceful version of the same faith with very little un-rest.
