Wow its been awhile since this thread's been active.
We're a month away from the round of 16 commencing...
The matchups and my predictions
(club listed first plays home game first...which means they finished 2nd place in the group phase) :
Schalke (GER) - Porto (POR)...............Porto
Roma (ITA) - Real Madrid (ESP)............Real Madrid
Olympiacos (GRE) - Chelsea (ENG)..........Chelsea
Liverpool (ENG) - Internazionale (ITA)....Inter
Celtic (SCO) - Barcelona (ESP)............Barcelona
Lyon (FRA) - Man. United (ENG)............Man. Utd. scum
Fenerbahçe (TUR) - Sevilla (ESP...........Sevilla
Arsenal (ENG) - AC Milan (ITA)............AC Milan
I couldnt have got a WORSE draw than Arsenal...but AC Milan showed last yr vs Man Utd scum that they know how to defend
extremely fast and talented teams.
Still, TERRIBLE draw for us as Arsenal are the best 2nd place by a light yr....NO WAY i'm picking against my club
Just a reminder...its OURS until someone takes it from us heh :

I like your picks, they seem pretty correct, except I'd have to give more of a fighting chance to liverpool, even though they havent been exceptional this year, they always seem to perform well in europe and big games. Also depending on the condition of arsenal coming into the game they too are just as likely to win as AC would be. That;s the toughest game to pick definatly

If Arsenal can run circles around Milan, Milan doesn't have a chance, but I expect Milan to slow down and frustrate the Arse and go on through to the next round
Wenger should have played his strong side against Sevilla.

Eh i DEFINITELY think Liverpool has a REALLY good chance to beat Inter...
But if i HAD TO pick, right now it'd be Inter.
A very high quality team, and they're bouond to do well in Champs League one yr...

As i said, if i wasn't one of the Milanese, i'd prolly pick Arsenal.
I can only best describe Arsenal as SCARY
But i fully trust and believe in my club (except for Dida..which worries me even more)

How can fuck can people hate this kid..look at this...wow
That's 27 goals in all comps for the year...which is extraordinary for a winger
That was his second goal in today's game...with only 13 mins on the clock

As much as Liverpool has a reputation of being a cup team, especially the way they responded when they were winless in their CL Group stage in their first 3 games, I really can't see Liverpool beating Inter.

That had to be one of the nastiest free kicks I've ever seen since I've followed the sport.
