I honestly can't hear the difference but that may be because I have hearing damage or because I'm not leet enough. I can't tell the difference between 128 and 320 kbps in mp3s either. But like someone said already with flacs those for some reason sound super rich and awesome especially bass lines.

Someone on another forum I frequent got all of the answers right, so (assuming he didn't cheat) it looks like there may be something to this claim at least some of the time.

I do still feel that most people who say this are bullshitting, but now I think that at least some of them probably aren't.

i can tell from 128 kbps compared to anything higher

everything else probably not
