Personally, it did work for me. I did lost my virginity (quite a few years ago) to the girl I'll probably end up marrying. Even if we do break up for some reason, at least we did reach the point of having a stable relationship, and I can say without any hesitation that I love her, and she loves me, and all that corny stuff.
