I've been into trance since 1999 and I can tell you..I have only heard these five. Some of you guys are either 1) In your 30s (so your old enough to have experienced trance early on) 2) got into trance quite young or 3) Are record collectors or know how to get old sets or rare vinyls. I found trance mostly through the internet at 14, and I don't think it was as widely used or even utilized in the early 90s..as far as music like with Internet Radio and MP3 file sharing as it was in the late 90s, early 2000s. Probably why I and some others didn't get into this really early stuff...we didn't even know it existed (I didn't till I got on TA).

Heh i could say i'm all of the 3.

I'll be "three and oh" next summer, been collecting music mainly on CDs and vinyls more or less actively since the late 80s - bought my first trance vinyls around summer 1992 and have always known the right people to help me out getting some rare releases i've been after.

Great selection of records there, Grim Reaper! Just Like you, i got into trance music as early as 1992 & have been fully addicted ever since! They really were the good old day's...

I notice you have (L.S.G - HEARTS) in your list! Personaly, i feel "Hearts" is one of the greatest trance records, ever produced. Even till this day "Hearts" sends shivers down my spine!

Thankyou Mr Oliver Lieb! (Oh Yeh Lonley Casseopaya is also stunning)

Yeah I was 7 years old in 1992, don't think I was going to any trance festivals or clubs back then. I was into Video Games (esp SNES), Dinosaurs, Jurassic Park and Power Rangers (around 1993 at 8). I am someone who got into the "epic" sound around the late 90s cause it was close to the video game music I liked....as far as being melodic and high energy but the climatic or emotive aspect is what grabbed me. But I was also into the darker, deeper progressive stuff back then as well (especially Nick Warren, Dave Seaman and Sasha). I couldn't really stand the more minimalistic or highly repetitive stuff out there (with no melody).

i would second that, for some reason the older tracks, well mostly the german classics, seem to have a timeless quality!

Yah, I can see that you three get sarcasm.

I was commenting on the fact that this thread is just a "whose dick is bigger" kinda thing - with older equalling bigger.
