i was 12, mixing with tapedecks without pitchcontrol without mixer also, just hooked everything up to the speakers seperatly, it was also fun to spin the wheel where the tapes are driven by, just as by mixing with records it can be done with tapedecks too, only don`t go to much backwards or the whole tape is screwed and the tapelint starts coming out of the deck.
soon after that, my brother usually gave me money to go buy records for him at the record store, midtown-rotterdam, where a lot of famous dj`s came to buy there records or had them preorderd and were piled up in a closet in the store.
Mark van Dale worked there at the time, selling records, my brother said he knew me, but i didn`t know who Mark was.
i only did some home dj-ing, untill i was about 26, i needed the money to pay the rent so i sold my turntables and records.
it was kind of funny to come in the record store with some beers, it is often said i look like Tiesto, i think it would be funny to do a double Tiesto gig with him, but for now i don`t mix with records, only with this sad program called traktor, with wich i`m making a mix
that i believe most of you guys/girls don`t want to mis.
i certainly won`t because it`s one of the last straws i`m holding on to.
i have very often this thought i don`t have any reason to live for and the mixing helped a little bit so that`s why i`m going to call it "one more reason to live for".
i`m 32 years now, hey , time for a 20 year anniversary haha
