it looks shite, and if the price is as suggested on the other page, i'd pay the extra $120 / £60 and get the 800's. At least they're nearly like the real thing if you intend on playing in clubs

I sometimes find it's a pain to get the pitch at, say, 1.06%. It will flick between 1.04% and 1.08%. On the 1000s it's very precise. If you want the pitch at 1.06% it's easy to get there!

pio's prolly hold their value better than any other DJ equipment manuf. there was a time where used CDJ200s cost just as much as new ones because of a high demand

Attitude Problem

You've got a serious attitude problem, i've been posting on these forums since the day they went on-line. Who are you to tell me that i can't post on a forum? Get over yourself. Maybe you should post on a few more forums to get a few extra MySpace views/plays while you're at it. DJ Delusional, how appropriate.

Looks really impressive. It has .02 pitch right?

Can someone pls explain to me what makes a 1000 better than this?
(Aside from being cooler looking and bigger)

Yes it does have .02% pitch.

What makes a 1000 better? Well feature wise not much at this point. The jog wheel is the big thing.

The 1000's also have a proven track record of being reliable in a club environment.

They are also extremely simple to use without a lot of bells and whistles. Walking up to a pair of these new 400's for the first time at a gig would probably be intimidating for most people. There's a lot of ways to f' up.

But yeah, this new deck just proves they are way overpriced.

Right on. Seems to me that the 400 even has almost the same jog wheel as well.

I'll prob buy 1 to accompany my 200's and tech's.

Looks like you have to press down on the 400 quite a bit more, it also lacks the vinyl indicator in the center (though it does have that LED thing around the outside).

Of course the CDJ-1000's is much bigger as well, but for mixing, who cares? The 400 will let you cue without stutter mode, and as long as pitch bend is spot on there's no need for the bigger jog.

The 400 also lacks the wave display. That's such a nice feature of the 1000's.
