You know, @ first the night was awesome because I was digging Remy's set. I actually was really excited because he was opening. I haven't seen him since the last time he played @ spirit about 2 yrs ago. It's been a while. After Remy finished I bumped into marcello and he wasn't feelin Armin's set. @ first didn't think much about it. But as the night progressed, I just wasn't feeling the vibe either of what he was playing. It just seems lately that he plays stuff that doesn't have a vibe anymore. A bit boring. Not enough climax's like trance used to have. I guess it's not entirely armin's fault since this is type of production style that is fluiding the scene. So yeah I'd have to agree with senor Eco on the musical program of the night. Not up to par @ all!

As for the crowd, WTF!!!!!!! that place was fuckin packed. (Reminded me of the time Tiesto spun @ Avalon in 2003/2004) I was kinda kool about it because I definitly was expecting this. Him being #1 and all! Shit load of people will come to see him just because of that. Pacha over packing the place, is something that to me will never be regulated in a moderate manner. It's a business and all Venue is going to see is $$$$$$$$$$! As for the promoter though, they do whole a responsibility to make the experience as pleasent as possible for the consumers (Meaning Us Party People). But as for the price of the ticket, part of it could be that Armin could have raised his fee now that he's #1! IMO........

Over all I give it a 6 out of 10..........and that's me being a bit nice

McDonald's could obviously raise prices and make more money, because people will always go to McDonald's, but that's just not how it works... There's a certain line that's crossed that goes from "getting your money's worth" to "getting owned". You can't put Armin in Sullivan Room and charge 100$, and so on... It doesn't work that way.

yes it does....don't get me started on economics again. that mcdonalds analogy was horrible; if mcdonalds charged more money they would lose customers. there is always a point where price will force customers out. there are people far smarter than you and me that spend their entire lives trying to figure out the equilibrium of price and production.

Good god, if you're talking about June '04, that was horrific.

you hit it....i'm sure they could have charged 60 - 70 a pop and still packed it out. pvd was 70 at the door.

it's time to stop bitching about price, that's how this shit works. if it's that big of a problem just don't go!!!

I would have to agree. Hope I can make it out next weekend. My sister needs to have this baby so I can go to a show.

Also hearing "Lift" was really nice.

I'm so sure you would be feeling the same way if you somehow became a part of those fights. To the dude that asked "what's everybody is bitching about"......ummm have you ever heard of a limited capacity? What about safety? I guess all that shit goes right out the window when AVB is spinning lol. It's a fucking shame promoters and clubs could care less about these things and put the safety of their customers in jeopardy. Anytime a fight breaks out at a club it says a lot about the party......multiple fights......that's fucking ridiculous. I feel sorry for the suckers that paid over $40 and got nothing less of a shit show in return. Hopefully these types of posts will send out a message that this type of shit has got to stop. There is no excuse to oversell an event especially when it's the #1 DJ......you're just asking for trouble. In the end it's the clubs fault because they are in charge of how many people enter those doors......and they prob will keep doing it until the fire marshal shuts them down.

Two things about the track list -

. way too predictable
. zzzzzZZZZZZzzzzzzzz

IMO that's nothing short of "Armin in a nutshell" though....

Disagree. You don't really hear people bitching about Rebel, or Sulli, or Love, or Roseland, or even Webster Hall (the bitching on that one seems to have lessened).
