I thought 'roadkill' was decent enough but other than that, I really dont see the quality in his productions/dj sets to justify all the hype. I got a mix CD of his free with this month's Mixmag...not into at all to be honest. As many people have said, the sound has been totally over-done. The CD is far too blipidy-blopidy for my liking. I was never a fan of the 'minimal' movement and Dubfire certainly brings nothing to the table that would make me change my mind.

By the way, (this is totally irrelevant!) rumour has it that it costs up to 20,000euro to book Deep Dish for an event....I wonder how much Dub-thehottestthingindancemusicrightnow-fire is charging?!

Not only is it clear that you haven't really ever even listened to many of my sets, but also that you could really, really use a dictionary and/or some reading comprehension classes.

Keep on reaching though. I'm sure your family and friends are proud of all you've accomplished.

His recent release are a bit overhyped. But in my opinion they aren't bad releases. Sven Vath opened with ribcage at a show last month and the roof exploded. It's not a classic track but still pretty decent.

DJ-wise i think dufire is one of the few dj's that somehow always can play a good set. I saw him playing various times and he never disappointed me nor heard any technical fuckups.

A few answers to both (in no particular order):

Danny Howells, Lee Burridge, Mazi, Sven Vath, Punisher, Funk D'Void, Minilogue, Marc Romboy, Dave Clarke, Joris Voorn, Michel de Hey, Gui Boratto, Matthew Dear, Jimmy van M, John Digweed, Luke Fair, James Zabiela, Ben Sims, John Patterson, Pier Bucci, Lucio Aquilina... etc.

Edit: IMO, obviously.

John Digweed and Danny Howells have potential? Don't look now but I think Peyton Manning and Tom Brady might be good quarterbacks.
