All we've done is buy ourselves some time. Once the surge ends (since it is impossible to sustain) it will be the same shit over and over again. I just read about an Iraqi who is helping US forces find Sunni militia men since they killed his brother by accident. He has decided to kill 10 militia-men for each finger on his brothers hands. He wont stop till he gets to 100, and he's given the noses, adams apples, and ears of his victims to his mother, who placed them at her son's grave as tokens of revenge. These are the people we are working with to achieve this "success". This is just one small example...

But yes, keep thinking a peaceful and democratic Iraq is just around the corner. All you need to do is define "success" in whatever fucked up way you please...
