I was there - SO fuckin hot, but SO worth it!

Enough with the nonstop club complaining. Just go out and enjoy the show if it's your thing. If my workload will allow I will be there too for sure.

WORD.

On Broadway has the larger dance floor, plus it can spill over into the restaurant area making it way huge, and even if it's packed to the hilt you don't feel suffocated like you do at Belo. The system is also no better or worse - they are both marginal at best.
The lighting is wack though, I'll give you that.

Both clubs have horrible sound...but On Broadway always seems to have the bigger sound...at Belo it's very quite and does not have a kick too it. You can actually hear people talking over the system...

i've gotta say it looked like people had a great time. PVD def brought it better w/less vocals, and unfortunately the sound that night was not a great calibration

Does anyone know who was playing in the side room?

You know... I really sick of all the venue dissing... if it sucks so much...

Why don't you all get off your ass and build a damn venue?! That's right... you don't want to spend the time, effort, money, and work to do it either... and are complacent with the venues that are there now even if they don't meet your expectations.

Seriously though... I don't get what you all expect... I don't like going deaf for days after an event and I have to function the next day. The sound in both venues isn't designed properly in that it is not in tun or balanced well for the space it is in... but that's just because all most venues care about is raw power. If people built and balanced the systems correctly... well... the raw sound would be amazing, but the bass wouldn't kick as hard and the high end sounds would be much more present. Hell... even massive systems suck because they are all about power... a unadulterated push really... hitting you in the chest with something over the top to groove to.

Meh... that's why I'm doing the work I can to improve the things I may be able to in my life... so just keep complaining and not doing anything I guess.

No... just tired of people being all whiney about bull shit they never try and fix. It's pointless to complain about something you don't like if you never attempt to help fix the issue. Life isn't a box of chocolates, isn't fair, or always what you expect... people need to learn that and be happy with what they have.

That... and the fact I get no love in my life really anymore... LOL. Cest la vie.

j/p on the last part though.

if you know anything about the subject you give advice -- a lot of people who throw these nights read these threads. if you think the sound sucks, state what you feel is missing, if you think the venue security was an issue state it... these people are always trying to make their club nights better but just saying "san diego clubs suck" is just a useless post

To Eventvibe and Giant:

Please bring Roger Sanchez to San Diego!

Thanks.

(Hopefully the right person reads this)
