If your definition of liberty is the right to do whatever you want, it is inevitable that the actions of one individual will infringe upon the liberty of another. It's human nature. I don't think I realized until just now how much being a philosophy major has made me hate the word "freedom."

This is not, to say, that I don't think many of you posting in this thread are saying anything worthwhile - I just think I've done this one to death and it doesn't really interest me anymore.



Regardless, here's a quick summary of my opinion on freedom/free will: I don't think humans can possibly know whether or not it can or does actually exist, and as such I don't particularly feel that the fact we cannot prove whether true freedom exists is reason enough for us to all become fatalists.
