HEY I HAVE A CRAZY THEORY THAT I BELIEVE IS 100% CORRECT.

Eli and paul are different people.

at the end of the movie it is not actually eli but paul trying to act like eli.

clue 1. he picks up 3 drinks and drinks 2, this is not eli like behavior.

clue 2. the gold chain, obviously not attained on a missionaries salary.

clue 3. eli would never have proclaimed that he was a false prophet.

so when DDL flips out on him about how well paul is doing he is only toying with him by making paul believe that he thinks it's eli all the while daniel knows it's paul .it's twisted i know.

finally since paul has tried to screw him over for the second time, the first being when he walked in the office and would not divulge evidence before he was given money.

and thats why... he got served.
