P.S. that tracklist is the same kinda shit tracklist I hear whenever I go out to the lame clubs in Whistler. Looks like your originality and passion failed pretty hard. Congratulations on being another generic dj. |
Just a few thoughts...I must stand up for myself,
Ahh jealousy, I knew it would set in. Some can maintain control of these urges, others are weak in that area and try to bring others down through it. Also known as being a "little man". Its okay you know, I dont hate you for it, we all have little flaws here and there. But I know for sure you couldn't put on a show like I did. You couldn't do it if you had help, like other DJ's and a crew. You see I have somethings very valuable called creativity, ambition and a dream. It cant be taught or learned, you either have it or you dont - and it is pricless. Armin and many others like him have it, and we have all taken and conitinue to take crap from others - this is the nature of our society today, it is sad and most likely hopeless. But in saying that, I appreciate your critcism - I really do, I feed off it and it motivates me even more, so feel free to keep it coming I can take all you got. But just one legitimate question has to be asked, why dont you come out, listen and see my performance before you take shots at it? You cant really judge it till you've seen and heard it. Until then its simply ingnorance.
Oh and I dont spend time listening to Minsitry of Sound compilations. My CD's are much better, this is factual. The Phantom of Electro tracklist was completely original, selected by myself and Robinski, aswell it was in good balance which is not easy to do...but you wouldnt know a thing about that. Do you think a DJ should play YOUR favs or YOUR selected style for the night just to get you interested? Do you know what monotony means? How would you get the clubbers on the dance floor? You dont know and if you thought you knew...never mind this, you just dont know. Anyway did I not state it was a complete success, what else do you need? Why not really try to make intelligent suggestions/requests for the next show, or some "adivce", I am very curious what you people will come up with...this should be good...and I will consider most things.
About my own style or my so-called generic style:
If you knew anything about DJing which I know some of you dont, you create your own style/vibe/feel when you mix tracks, even generic tracks. You can do so much with effects, sampling, EQing and mashing. This is one reason why EDM will never die or fade out - the possibilities are endless. Remixing and reworking are keys to keep freshening up classics - and not just trance, you can remix classic rock, 70's, 80's, 90's ect. I cant wait to start producing then I can really prove my creativity - but this takes a lot of time and money, but it is just around the corner. Man Im excited for life. Cause I look at what Armin, Richard Durand and Sander are doing (the hottest and fastest growing DJ's), and I see myself following in their footsteps, carrying the new wave of dance music and I just know what I do will be successful. Its hard to explain, I just know.
Oh and by the way you should've seen the faces on the party goers. Priceless! I had several people come up to me after and state wow man, so incredible...blah,blah...I didn't have to drink or take drugs...your music was enough for me! Now when people can go nuts without substance, thats when you know you've do something right. I think my passion showed through. Ahh yes. My DJ name, by the way is not tech-jah, that would be stupid. Instead tech-ja, the dutch/german affirmative to tech (ja means yes - incase you were born under a rock). I'm just trying to keep things posivitve around here, I really dont like challenging others to fight on a thread, which is elementary (but so is sarcasim ktracid), but emotions are touchy, everybody knows that. I think we can all learn a thing or two and better ourselves. And yes in the end I am laughing at this thread too, you guys are unbelievable...Life is so good right now - Out
