Looks like crap from the outside and is right on the outskirts of a shady neighborhood. However, I booked it at the last minute last year and I can honestly say that it is the single best hotel that I have ever stayed in. It absolutely destroys the Marriott, Hilton, etc. How much did I pay? $80/night. It's also just a couple of blocks (easy walk) from the Civic Center.

Nothing has ever come close to me compared to the Mandrian on Sunset Blvd....WOWZAS, my room and stay there was out of this world....glad I didn't have to pay a single penny for it, lol.

The St. Regis in Century City was amazing too...a bit traditional, but so much going on!

Booked my room. Would be a blast to attend.
