Who wants to go with me next weekend, just to turn on our cameraphones on video mode, and just see what the raid experience is all about. It would be kinda cool.
I would be afraid of them planting something on me though, as they allegedly have to a patron on the first raid because they were looking for someone with a similar description.

trust me... it's not cool. the cops raided this loft party a bunch of us were at last summer. scary shit! one minute you are dancing away having a great time... the next minute the cops storm in, order everyone to the ground with their hands in the air, and start handcuffing random people and searching them. the sad thing is that i don't think they even arrested anybody at this party. they gave out a few tickets but thats it. there was about 20 people i knew there and not one of them had anything on them.

BRILLIANT SHOW! Better than Seinfeld I find.
lol you are on crack. Seinfeld is the best sitcom ever, bar none.
Anyway, haha, passed by the area this Sunday morning, and was surprised at how empty it was and at the cops chilling in the CAMH parking lot. Should have guessed it got raided again.
P.S. How awesome is it that CZ is right across the street from a rehab centre? They should just paint giant yellow arrows from CZ to it on the pavement.

To answer your question- Stephen Harper is launching a U.S. style war on drugs.
There is a Bill C-26 that increases penalties for marijuana and makes all amphetamine based products including MDMA and methamphetamines as well as GHB Class 1 rather than Class 3 substances. That means they are lumping these into the same categories as heroin and crack.
Police agencies across Ontario and Canada have also been told to stop issuing warnings for small possessions of marijuana and to write tickets.
Don't think that the police raids at CZ and their presence at the other Sunday morning place isn't a directly result of these new policies.
um... I don't support the conservatives at all, infact I'm a member of the liberal party, but your facts are a little off. when the liberals were moving towards decriminalization, that wouldn't' have meant it marijuana would be legal. it would have mean that rather then getting prosecuted criminally you would get a fine(ie ticket).
Possession of marijuana is an indictable offense. You don't get "tickets" for that. you get charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act for that. It's a schedule II drug.. possession could result in a maximum 5 years in prison. That's been law since 1996.
C-26 doesn't increase penalties for possession of marijuana.. it would set minimum sentences for marijuana traffickers and marijuana growers.

You can be quite sure that I never had the zone in me, poorly constructed sentence or not.
