This year I took a red-eye Tuesday night, got to Miami Wed morning. I wish I did head back Monday (instead of Sunday as I almost missed my flight by sleeping in!)
I'll pass on Ultra, I'll pass on buying presale for any day parties, I'll consider the Fuck You pass, I would like to check out Pawn Shop (I thought it was a run down place, but apparently it is #1 in the U.S. according to DJMag, followed by Vanguard in LA .
I won't pick up from the wantickets store (get the presale tickets mailed) and I will purchase flight and room the day the dates get announced. (what month did the dates get announced? Oct? Nov?) |
Hey just a tip...WMC is almost ALWAYS over the 2nd the last or the last week of March, so I usually book the hotel for both weeks in June/July to secure a good rate and cancel whichever week I don't need. Just make sure you go with a hotel that has an open-ended cancelation policy and don't wait to cancel until February...do it as soon as dates go up for sure so the hotel has time to still book the unused week. Ultra usually announces in December, so the week prior to Ultra dates are it. Most of the BIG NAME hotels people stay at block out reservations until dates are announced, which isn't necessarily a bad thing for them cuz they can command a higher price for the rooms. I usually try to find a newer boutique hotel that no one has ever heard of/doesn't throw parties. It worked out really well this year cuz I had a super cute hotel room on 14th and Collins. Def booking with them again! Only regret is maybe not staying downtown...as most of the big events are downtown, but i can't give up the beach atmosphere!
Def see you sometime in the near future man!
