awesome movie... i loved it. it's ridiculous how many different stories are being told in this single episode (the boba fett kid, anakin showing his "dark" side, darth sidius taking over the senate and setting things up for the war (epIII) ...) i can't wait for episode III,... only 3 more years! *sigh*, ohh well.
as far as the acting goes,... well, we all know that star wars was never known for it's acting,... but yeah,.. the anakin kid,.. he's not exactly oscar material (right now). and goerge lucas should definately try to make the dialogues better for ep III (when people laugh during the romantic scenes, you know something is wrong)... the highlights of the movie have to be yoda taking out his lightsaber (sweet) and going crazy, and every scene with natalie portman... she is so hot... seriously though, the build up for ep III was great... but i definately think that they should use the yoda puppet again, since some of the cgi was kinda crappy and made him look really fake... counting down the days until may X 2005

I just got back from seeing it, and I loved it. Despite the shoddy acting in places, it did a great job keeping up with loose ends and keeping the story flowing (from episode 1 into 3). Starwars never had oscar acting (Harrison Ford/Carrie Fisher did well, but Mark Hammill looked like he was on valium or something all the time), but it certainly had memorable dialouge, filled with all sorts of quotes that stuck with you. Neither episode 1 or 2 has been able to keep up on that track.
I know a lot of people complain that it slows down in the middle (it does) but none of the Star Wars movies are meant to be pure action flicks. Lucas had a lot of story to tell, and did it a lot better in 2 hours than LotR did in 3.
IMO, the movie was great. Its probably my favorite Star Wars so far, behind Empire Strikes Back.
If lucas can clean up the dialouge and keep the story as straightforward and simple as possable, Episode 3 should be awesome.

I thought this movie was lame... it was predictable, the jokes were not funny at all... and the story skipped around too much... it needed to be longer.. and the story more developed.. shit I could almost predict exactly what the characters were going to say before they even said them... heres something to think about... take away all the special effects and you have NOTHING.. not even a good story.. I am very disappointed to see star wars going in this direction... I loved the orignals... but the new ones are just "pretty." It makes me not want to see the next one... oh im so disappointed!

What are you talking about?!?! I hope ankin turns bad in ep 3! The whole reason I went to see this one was because I heard a rumor that he kills all but 2 jedi's.....but that was just a rumor *sigh* |
What do you mean?
Personally, I don't want him to turn evil, even though it's inevitable. As for that rumour...*cough*ep.3*cough*
I know how the story pretty much goes with him going to the dark side, and the major factor that turns him to the dark side (no, its not the death of his mother). If you wanna know, tell me and I'll PM it to anyone who wants to know. It's not a major spoiler, and it's kinda obvious, if you think about it hard enough.
Hehe, anyways, I don't wanna see him go evil, just cuz I can't bare to see Natalie be heart-broken, and he doesn't deserve it. Sure, he turns into a badass and all, and we get to see him wipe everyone on the floor, but...I dunno, I feel sorry for him. It's all part of Palapatine's master plan (Darth Sidious for the slow one's), he was the one that suggested that Anakin guards Padme, cause he felt the deeper connection between them. If he didn't, then Anakin would probably never turn evil, but, through Palapatine's manipulations, he does. ( )
Poor Natalie...she's so sexy, and sweet. I want her...such a nice smile...and those sexy little abs...mmmm (just like someone else said, everyone scene with her was good). God, I'm beginning to sound like a geek, falling in love with a Star Wars character...next thing I know I'll be calling my g/f Padme and tell her to call me Anakin...lol.
Anyways...

and it was PURPLE ROFL ROFL
i couldnt get over it
form what i hear about episode 3 is that anakin busts out the evilness and kills all the jedi and
obi wan jacks him up in a big battle( throws him in lava or something) and thats why he has to go into the vader suit |
No, the best was when he says "This party's over!"

I have a question about the movie, because I saw it at a special pre-screening the day before it came out and the power went out in the theatre. Anyways, they didn't bother to rewind it so I missed a part and I'm kinda confused.
If you haven't seen the movie, don't read this... its not really a spoiler, but some people may still snap on me.
----------------------------------------------------------------
The power went out when Obi Wan went to that planet that was deleted from the Jedi Archive (where they were making the clones). Was that army the one fighting for the Jedi's at the end (beginning at the colisseum)? Who had it made? And why was the planet deleted from the archive? The way I understood it was that Yoda went to that planet and got that clone army to come help rescue Obi Wan... but what did the bounty hunter have to do with it (besides the fact that the soldiers were clones of him)? Since the bounty hunter was obviously working for Darth Sidius, why didn't Darth Sidius take the army for himself?
Sorry if those are stupid questions, but I'm confused...

I don't know if you know this but Darth Sidious is the Emperor/Supreme Chancellor(or whatever) Palpatine.. so technically he does have the army..

Yeah, but then why wouldn't he take it and use it? It doesn't make any sense...
