Ice - I'm really glad this one worked for people, I know it's a bit short (just under an hour), but much like Sounds like Robots, I was really pleased with how this turned out, but worried others might not be (like with Sounds like Robots).

Glad to see that in general people seem to like it as well as I do.

And getting to end a set with "Love Story" has been something I've been waiting for the right moment to do for a long time - I was really happy I got to open with straight up piano, and end with straight up sax.

ye, rob, finally had a chance of giving this a proper listen, good stuff as usual, you built up the mix really good to the last 15minutes which was so awesome that i rewound those last 15 like a solid 8 times. mr templar -> love story was gorgeous.

and btw some tiny nitpick, the version of templar isn't the original mix, it the b2 on that ep. it's because svek didn't put a proper labeling on lords on svek 2 and beatport went with it.

Nice - thanks for the listen and the thoughts, one question though, what would the proper ID for it be then?

The Persuader - What is the time, Mr. Templar? (B2 Mix)

I'm just having a really hard time tracking down proper info on the original release, as I'm pretty sure Discogs has all the tracks on the initial release labeled as "Untitled" - but I might just be missing something.

Either way, again, thanks for the thoughts and for helping me get my ID's straight.

I forgot this was posted here as well. Rob already got the scope from me in person but this is a very solid, drummy, techy mix. Check it out people if you haven't already.

Fucking awesome.

Top notch stuff man. Tracks 1 - 4 really set the whole thing up for me, don't know what it was but those 4 tracks and the mixing between them gave me goosebumps. I had a hard time even determining when you were making transitions. I'd chalk that up to my untrained ears and some pretty impeccable mixing.

I honestly enjoyed this set a bit more than the previous ones I've listened too, mainly because there were some lush melodic sections that I'm a complete sucker for. Your Maraud Your Ears edit was ace, and from then on to the end of the set had me rockin pretty hard. That Layo & Bushwacka track may be a classic but I'd never heard it before and it blew me away, great closer.

Fantastic job overall, loopy type stuff like the majority of this mix is definitely something I'm slowly learning to appreciate more and more. You, and everyone else on this forum who put up quality stuff for us to enjoy, keep inspiring me to actually get my finances in order and get some gear of my own.

Top review m8 - really appreciate the thoughts.

Regarding the first four, to be honest with you I thought those mixes (well at least the first and third) were the rockiest. Both the Art Bleek and Jay Haze tunes have kind of piercing percussion that comes in on sometimes hard to remember phrases (the Art Bleek tune in particular always seems to throw me off a bit). In any event, hearing that you really enjoyed them definitely makes me happy as I thought from a technical point of view that might be the weakest point of the set.

Thanks again duder!
