This burger was not ACTUALLY canada's greatest burger. I couldn't even imagine taking it home to eat as leftovers. Maybe it would be more suitable in a salon with $400 haircuts.

I dont know ... i'm just thinking of all the bad movie and CD reviews where bands, actors and directors have been completely TRASHED (worse than that review). And in FAR bigger / more influential publications than something like NOW Magazine (lol).
Do you think any of them would respond in the same way? Probably not. But hey do whatever and say whatever the fuck you want to do. I could care less i'm just saying from my perspective it looks kinda tacky to respond in the fashion that some people have responded and looking at some of the other responses in this thread i'm not alone. Good luck with the CD.
I love how I google his name and all it is is people complainigng about his shitty reviews.

The point is if he's a so called CD reviewer, he should have stated pro's and con's of the CD. Written a PROPER review. Go read his other reviews on there. He could have had the decency to say "Even though I'm not feeling the songs on this CD, some of the fans might like this".
Proper reviews are subjective, no one has to list pros and cons of anything, especially in a cd like this where there are no pros. And honestly, when the two best tracks come from Deadmau5 and Addy...you know your cd is bound to fail. Why is are you surprised?
So some shitty dj wrote a review about your shitty compilation cd full of cheap music. For fucks sake that tracklist reads like a who's who of douchebags in club land. If you're not going to be able to take some heat from critics, you should really stay out of the entertainment industry and stick to being a barista at Starbuck's. Of course if you do that you'll leave yourself open to yuppies complaining that you burned the milk in their latte

Uhhhh.. maybe you should read that quote over again.... but please do it slowly... and don't hurt yourself...
And Deadmau5 is a pro. You wish you had his resume!

Politics in Toronto are definately entertaining
I think people are more upset at the fact that not only is it a bad review, but it trashes the CD without justification. Also it's obvious that the CD never had a chance because it's clear that the reviewer has a disdain for the genre in the first place. The stereotypes were also uncalled for.
If people like flipside, M1 etc were ripping him apart because he didnt like the CD id understand why it wouldnt be taken so well. But the real problem here is that it's a badly written review.
I have never heard the CD. It could be great, or it might suck. But either way that review was garbage.
I will say this though. The artists and publicists reading this should always remember that any publicity is good publicity. I bet a lot more people are going to check out this cd now because of this dumb review. And dont take it too personally. Just feel bad for NOW that they hired such a bad writer.
