He's definately up there but i suspect most attendees went to hear benassi, hawtin, dubfire, and (in detroit's case) carl craig.

The media's facination with top 40 acts is what is very telling by these 3 articles.

I agree but the masses who read these newspapers are more likely to be familiar with moby than hawtin hence why he was mentioned in the article as one of the biggest bookings... it's to be expected that they would mention the more mainstream dj's.

Benassi played in a small tent which overflowed badly.

Carl Craig had the busiest crowd of the weekend from what I saw. I have vids and pics of it. Didn't see dubfire.

Hawtin packed every spot he was at!! The beatport tent was a gongshow. Beatport has to double the tent's size or do a bigger sponsorship and take over the main stage

Well the media doesn't know any better than local talent and top40. ie I dont expect them to talk about Speedy J, mulero, paul ritch for example.
