There's still some quality deep melodic progressive being made, it's just harder to find these days because the trend is either towards the electro-prog-trance sound (Baroque, Anjunadeep, Discoteca) or the minimal-tech-electro sound (Renaissance, Twisted Frequency). Check out labels such as Tilth, Vapour, No Smoking, or Morphosis.
