Don't think any of the parties get any money for those. Mashes are made more for fun....could be that why most of the them are marked as bootlegs.

you can do the remix thing a few different ways - depending on the contract you sort out.

Me and a friend have a tune coming out in a couple weeks and went thru working out what to do. We were considering getting quite a big name trance act to do one for us and it woulda cost about $2000 - which was a bargain considering this act usually cost about 5k. However once they have done it - the tune and all the royalties made are yours and the label - so if they do a corker remix - youve got it made - and it gets your name out abit.

however if its one of your contemporaries/peers - then id say "do your mix and we'll go half on whatever is made from it...seems fair to me.
