cos my hometown is east of tampa and nascar was always huge, huge, huge when i grew up. then again, i guess a conservative farming town 30 miles east of tampa and the city itself do have slight differences in nascar fandom. rally driving is cool though.
yes... i live in the city and nascar is furthest from anybody's mind around here...
lakeland, bartow, winter haven, frost proof, east bay, ruskin????

It's a shame rally driving isn't very popular in the US, because it's very spectacular. You have no idea how big it is over here! (in my island in particular). It's literally the 2nd biggest sport, only losing to football.
Still prefer circuit racing though. Seeing cars fighting against each other on the same track beats seeing cars doing massive distances of public road, imo.

What makes it sad is that I actually had a genuine chance at it but I was too lazy to put in the extra hard yards

Seriously, though. I'd love to be an EDM producing tenured professor of linguistics, writing an occasional novel every now and then.
Come to think of it, it's not really difficult to do that (except for the tenure bit). Nothing stops me from being a producer/writer, but my procrastination

Yeah, I thought of that. If I got really rich somehow and were set for life financially, I would open my own club.
