Spicy Sausage Pasta
Serves: 4 large portions

500g fresh pasta of choice (I used fusilli)
8/6 (dependant on size) sausages of choice (I used Sainsbury's Taste The Difference Chilli & Coriander Sausages)
2 large courgettes, sliced into 1/4 inch slices
500g mushrooms of choice, sliced
1 yellow pepper, sliced
1 red pepper, sliced
500g plum tomatoes, quartered
1 red onion chopped
6 cloves of garlic chopped
5g chicken stock/gravy granules (I used Knorr)
10 fresh basil leaves, chopped
Dried chilli flakes
60g grated parmesan cheese

I found using 1 large wok and 1 large (2 litre I think) pasta pot works great, minimal washing up.

Fry the sausages in the wok with a little oil until brown all over, and set aside.

Fry the onion and garlic in the wok until tender, add more oil if needed.

Add mushrooms and courgette and fry for 4 minutes.

Add peppers, tomatoes and basil.

Slice now slightly cooled sausages into 1/2 inch slices.

Add chilli flakes, chicken stock granules, parmesan and 40ml of oil and mix well.

Re-add sausages and simmer, whilst preparing the pasta as per the instructions (about 5 minutes).

Drain pasta and return to pasta pot. Add contents of wok to pasta pot and stir well.

Serve and enjoy

thats too fucking complicated.

food should not be this hard people.

pasta + sauce + spices = dinner is done. don't measure anything. just fucking pour it in a pot of water, dump the jar on top of the done pasta, and sprinkle some random shit on top.
lol

Delicious food can be both simple and complicated to make.

If you enjoy the act of cooking, then the complicated dishes become both rewarding and tastey

I did this but with lo-fat Ramen, half of the MSG packet, and a can of tuna. I didn't cook the tuna though, just drained it and mixed with the Ramen. DELICHASE.

poor man's chow mein

1 egg yolk
brocoli crown in pieces
20 cent ramen instent noodle block
a splash of any kind of cooking oil

prep time : about 15 minutes
cost: about a dollar

fill a pot with a bit of water and bring it to boil. throw the noodle block in and then put the brocoli crowns on top so that it pushes the noodles under the water.

beat the egg yolk and cook it in a sauce pan with a little oil. once it's cooked, cut it up in little pieces and then set it aside.

by this time the noodles are probably done, as is the brocoli, so drain them. after draining them throw them in the sauce pan where you cooked the egg. cut the noodles with a spatula, sprinkle the instant noodle seasoning and then fold the egg in and your done!

i invented this.
