i think nachos was referring to the groundhog day-like quality of every mau5 thread.

once a month:
-- someone claims diva behavior on your part on an internet forum
-- the masses join the thread, torches, pitchforks, and mousetraps in hand
-- denials are issued; smudged transcription/nebulous emails/or spectral managers are pegged as the culprit
-- mau5 appears in thread with snarky commentary and/or partial rebuttal of original claim
-- truth lies in the middle

keep handlin' yo' biz homey.

well, my policy has always been... the more haters you have, the better you are doing.

i mean come on. if people take time out of their day just to hate on someone. i mean. its like they are putting their own time into someone who they claim isnt worth their time. i love haters. love having haters. love being hated on. means im doing something right.

Funny how everyone is so quick to paint deadmau5 a certain way.

It's because he's a douchebag and there is likely a strong degree of truth to what this guy is saying based on cheese dick's track record.

Sadly, it's a matter of most people being able to say "I could see him doing something like that" when a story like this comes up instead of "no way! That doesn't sound like the guy I know".

His track record? Or the track record of BS threads on the Internet?

Well, here is someone saying "No way! that doesn't sound like the guy I know."

We've played with the mau5 twice and the dude is nothing but supportive. I have no reason to believe why he wouldn't be that way for everyone he plays with.

Here us how it SHOULD have gone down...

- The kid gets to use whatever equipment as long as it doesn't cause too much trouble transitioning to the headliner. (e.g., he can't bring it 5 mixers, 3 laptops, 3 of his own CDJ's, etc).

- The kid SHOULD play an opening set. He won to be an opener. So play a fucking opening set. IF he comes out with bangers at 10pm for a 10pm-4am party, well...he probably will never get booked again. So...again, his choice to bang it out, but don't expect to get booked in the future.

- Re: Deadmau5, there is likely some half-truths to the whole story. Maybe the contest winner is that good? Maybe Joel got a little nervous. Maybe his agents got nervous. Who knows. There are definite half truths in every gossip story. And, its happened enough times under similar themes of diva-like behavior that there must be some truth to it.

- Lastly, just because Joel is some whining diva who likes to be the center of all drama doesn't mean his music sucks. Half this thread is ripping on his music. I for one think his music smells more like shit than the load I dropped last night, but...his sound does appeal to a large commercial crowd. So more power to him. He aint no Digweed. He won't be around much longer so let him cash in however he wants.

Who cares? It's obvious none of the people here have any prior personal experience of actually dealing or interacting with him
