no no no it is not dropped just placed elsewhere in the sentence.

It always bugs me when I see "u" because I tend to think of single letters and numbers in my native tongue, but I see "you" as an english word, so in my head they're pronounced very differently.

They can't? Wow, they must be really good at guessing

I don't mind the English language shifting or being influence by certain dialects. But I think ebonics is a crock of shit. It one of two only dialects that aren't regionally bound. In other words, people talk this way as a part of a mentality they adopt, as opposed to talking this way because everyone else in the region talks this way. Gaybonics is the other non-regionally bound dialect, and for that reason I hate gay people too.

Incorrect. Ebonics is not a creole. A creole is a pidgin with native speakers. A pidgin is a language created from at least two existing languages (at least one substrate and a superstrate) in situations where there is no common language between speakers and one must be created out of necessity.

Ebonics is merely a dialect of one source language: American English. It is only less correct than "proper speaking" through largely arbitrary processes of standardisation. It's definitely arguable that teaching a dialect over standardised language is wrong as it limits the communication and options of the pupil, but there is nothing essentially different about Ebonics from the way any of you talk when you deviate from completely standardised American English, and as such there's nothing inherently wrong with it either.

Motherfucker.

As soon as I read "American English", any credibility went straight out the window.

Luckily, I don't give a shit about what you think is credible. American English is a recognised standardised form of English. It's taught in schools, written in dictionaries and spoken by the government. Go and read a beginner's guide to sociolinguistics and then I might, might start caring about what you deem credible.
