I think the first half will grow on me, as I didnt' exactly hate it, but overall right now I think the first Involver was better overall from beginning to end. Like it's really good from track 1, all the way to "On my Own"...and lets not forget that amazing mix of Lostep's Burma, or that Petter track. I liked Involver right away from the get go, and the disc as a whole held steadily throughout its duration.
Invol2ver's first half really bogs it down, but I THINK it may grow on me. The second half is really amazing and reminds me of the Sasha that we all used to know. So overall as a single disc, for me right now, the second half is the reason to purchase this, and this is why I believe as a whole the disc doesn't stand up as well to Involver. |
lol....your review was very similar to mine after i listened to it the first time. I 100% agree that the CD REALLY takes off with the Ladytron track...which i LOOOOOOVE.
I just finished my 2nd round....and i have to say, i now TOTALLY appreciate the first half of the CD as well. I can tell i'm going to love it more and more with every listen. This CD has an amazing progression and flow between tracks, just like the first one, and i see so many similarities between the 2 albums, which is exactly what i was hoping for.
